DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday\, April 29\, 2026\nBefore the end of the school year\, your union is organizing province-wide actions to demonstrate solidarity and build momentum. Together\, we must show the government that educators across Ontario are prepared to act for our students and secure improvements for working and learning conditions in the 2026 round of central bargaining. \nProvincially\, our next collective action is the Day of Action on Wednesday\, April 29. This is a simple but powerful way to showcase ETFO’s strength and raise awareness about the urgent need for increased investment in public education to support student resources and smaller class sizes. \nAction\nLet’s button up!  \nWe need your support to activate your workplace for the Day of Action\, with every member wearing a button and red clothing on April 29.  Be sure to include DECE\, ESP\, PSPs and OT members at your workplace. \nBy wearing a smaller classes\, BIG DIFFERENCE button or sticker on the same day and posting on social media\, members\, education workers\, parents\, and community allies create a visual message that emphasizes the urgent need for investment in our schools. \nContact your Released Officer to arrange for them to come to your school to support your staff on the 29th!\nResource\nTo learn more about the tasks that every steward needs to complete before April 29 and on the Day of Action\, check out the April 29 Day of Action plan. \nYou can access the Day of Action plan and other resources from the member secure site by following these three easy steps.\n\nLog in to members.etfo.ca.\nVisit the new Stewards Resource section located under the ETFO tab.\nLook for the Campaigns folder and open the smaller classes BIG DIFFERENCE folder.\n\nA new resource titled “April 29 Day of Action Speaking Points” has also been added to the Member Secure site. This information sheet will assist you in speaking with members and answering questions. SUMMARY:ETFO All Members' Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Central bargaining preparations are progressing\, and as we organize for the province-wide Day of Action on April 29\, it is also important to plan ahead for the expiry of our collective agreements. \nIn preparation for all possible scenarios related to central bargaining\, our provincial union is holding all-member information meetings where a provincial released officer will explain key aspects of our 2026 central bargaining strategy\, including priorities\, the process\, and information about the central strike vote.  The meeting will be held after school and is open to all ETFO members working for the district board in our area. \nAttendance at the meeting is vital to ensure you and every member understand central bargaining\, how the union is approaching this round\, and what might come next. This meeting is also an opportunity for you to get your questions answered. Your participation in the All-Member Meeting strengthens our collective power! Please plan to attend.
