- We have confirmed with the Board that Teachers will be given the option to work OFF-SITE on the PA Day for Assessment on 26 January, 2024.
- Teachers are tasked with writing the reports, Administrators support Teachers in their completion.
- If access to Aspen is delayed, Teachers should be asking for time and support to complete reports and can only do the best they can in the time provided; flexibility with deadlines may be required.
- With a new report card template for this round of reports, support and flexibility from Administrators will be especially important and appreciated.
- As per Article L27.08 of your Local Collective Agreement, Principals may provide support in the creation of reports.
- The ‘6-week rule’ requires that a student be in a school for 6-weeks before a report card can be completed at that school.
- As per longstanding guidelines in place, reports can’t be expected in school offices more than 5-8 school days before they are sent home.
- For Term 1 reports, this period is from 2-7 February so they can be sent home to parents on 14 February.
- Please contact us in the Office if your professional judgment in the creation of reports is being questioned and you need support.
In support,
Rebecca, Susan, Stephen, Jennifer and Brian
