PA/PD Days

PA/PD Days and Part-Time Teachers

There are SEVEN (7) PA/PD days in a school year. If you are a PT Teacher, you are not paid to be at all seven – ONLY the portion that matches your contract.

If you are, for example, a 0.5 contract, you can only be expected to attend 7×0.5= 3.5 of the PA/PD days in a year, OR, half of each of the seven.

If your Principal directs you to attend more, you must be paid your daily salary for the day. Teachers should discuss which PA/PD days they will attend through the year and come to agreement on it. Contact our office if you need support.
