We have collaborated closely with our educator colleagues in OCEOTA, OSSTF and OECTA and will be participating jointly with them at this year’s Ottawa Pride. Sign up to march in Pride here.

We will also be collaborating with OSSTF and OECTA to send volunteers to engage with the Public at an Educators Booth on Bank St. If you want to participate in Pride but don’t want to march, you can sign up to be at OECTA’s booth for educators on Sunday. We will provide ETFO materials and flags to display and share at the booth. Sign up here.

Ottawa District Labour Council (ODLC) Labour Day March with OCEOTA, OSSTF, OECTA – 7 September at noon

OCEOTA (Representing ETFO OTs in the OCDSB) has already registered to walk in ODLC’s Labour Day Parade on 7 September, 2026.  We invite all OCETFO/FEEO members to band together with OCEOTA, OSSTF, OECTA and other education affiliates to join. Please gather at Lisgar High School behind Ottawa City Hall at 11am for the parade that starts at 12noon.

OSSTF also will host a tent at McNabb Park at the end of the parade route where all education affiliates are welcome. Bring children, friends, family for OCETFO/FEEO’s return to the ODLC and participation in this great tradition alongside our Labour allies from many Unions! Together we are Stronger!

Fight Ford Rally – 29 August, 2026

The Ontario Education Coalition and the Fight Ford Protests are organizing a coordinated Day of Action on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This is a province-wide action with more than 40 local actions already organized across Ontario.

We invite you and all ETFO members to attend the local action near you, bring your ETFO flag, and please help to promote this community protest. Every rally is an important opportunity to come together with parents and concerned residents to raise our voices and demand better for students in the public education system.
