Have a Heart Day is a child and youth-led reconciliation event that brings together caring Canadians to help ensure First Nations children have the services they need to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of who they are. Elementary school children from across the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board have joined together on Parliament Hill on February 14th for many years to stand in solidarity with First Nations children across Canada. https://fncaringsociety.com/have-a-heart
Why is it then that our government continues to tie a child’s cultural identity to whether or not they can access health care supports in this country. It’s time for this country to respect all children equally!!! https://globalnews.ca/news/7559954/jordans-principle-judicial-review-ottawa-first-nations/
