As ETFO is finalizing the arrangements for the online ratification vote on the 2022-2026 Tentative Central Agreement, we continue to engage in LOCAL bargaining for you with the OCDSB. We are pushing for working condition improvements that you have identified as priorities. Our ability to make gains depends on the collective solidarity and strength that we demonstrate now.
We are asking all of our Members in school to WEAR RED on Monday and Tuesday, the 4th and 5th of December.
Why wear RED on Monday and Tuesday?
- The Board will see that our Members are listening, watching, and expecting to be treated with respect
- It is a simple step to show that you are engaged, and you want your employer to LISTEN
- By sharing photos widely through social media networks, you demonstrate to the community you are behind your Local Team (@ocetfo, #onted, @ETFOeducators, @ocdsb)
- We want to address the problems of fractured timetables, transparent staffing, violence in classes, protecting our 2SLGBTQIA+ members, fragmentary supervision blocks, and much more…….
- Demand progress on these priorities by WEARING RED at school on Dec. 4th and 5th!
In solidarity and strength,
Rebecca, Susan, Stephen, Jennifer, Brian, Soraya, and Patrick- your LOCAL TABLE TEAM
