The government has called for a Provincial Election to take place on February 27, 2025.
For OC ETFO members, this is the chance to ensure students and schools gain access to the educational funding and resources we so desperately need. Funding and resources that have been stripped from our communities since 2018.
Since 2018, the Ford government has slashed per student funding by $1,500 and increased class sizes while cutting thousands of teaching positions.
We must all do our parts and what we can to ensure our colleagues, our students and their families, and our communities understand the crucial need to elect candidates who will prioritize education.
Voters have many issues in mind when they head to the polls. While we encourage everyone to make their own decisions based on their values, we’ve found the following candidates to be aligned with Public Education and ETFO’s Building Better Schools platform:
